De vuelta a casa / Back home

I wrote this article on the plane, on my way back home, from #WPOnTour.

Seeing the city lights through the cabin windows you can have a moment and think about the whole week. Melancholy is a must, mixed with a huge amount of happiness and successfulness.

This week has been awesome in so many ways that is very difficult to make a resume of anything. Right now, in my way back home, I’m thinking in a new project, two new plugins, and in the chat nights will all the others in the home.

There are so many things in what you think about after an experience like that…

For example, I only know the age of Rocío (because she works with me), Zé (because I was in his 50’s birthday) and Remkus (because of a conversation). Age is not a matter of fact when you are working like we are. Brilliant people and hard-worker people cannot (and must not) be weighted by their age.

Almost everyone has had an incredible life. Traveling a lot, doing a lot of different things, living in a lot of different places, being curious about everything… This reforces my ideas about people. It’s possible to find brilliant people who had a great career in high school and college, and that had work very hard. But the fucking awesome people are who had done a lot of things, who had experienced a lot of things, and who had tried and failed, and tried again, and again, and sometimes succeeded. Those who right now, because of their life, are able to find inspiration in almost everything because of their vision of life. Those who, because of this, are extremely inspiring too.

I feel like I have been the most inspired and the less inspiring in the house during this week. I’m definitely concerned about changing this. Next time, I’ll be prepared to give back all that I have received in this seven days.

Everybody works a lot. Like 12-16 hours a day, depending on the day. It makes you feel a bit better about your way of life. They know how to stop, when to make a nap, when to aisle, when to cowork… a pretty good experience.
Also, I love the way Roy Works. I think that is a very good idea to have a «daddy’s day» as he has on Fridays to focus in the real life at least once a week and give the important things the time they need.

When you are in a camp like this, your body only needs 5 or 6 sleep hours a day. I think that it’s because we usually bore ourselves with our ordinary life and makes us to be tired. In camps like this you are brain working all the time in things that you really want to do and conversations that you really want to have, being very inspiring and making your body to be 100% awake.

And no, it’s not about coffee.

  1. Me gusta el articulo bilingüe
